THAT Camp New England – November 2010/2011
Stephanie lead the virtual team of New England technology and humanities folks to organize the first New England THAT Camp at Wentworth Institute of Technology in November 2010. The Humanities and Technology Camp started at George Mason University and has expanded to regional camps all over the world. The organizing committee will take turns hosting a camp each fall semester. Participating schools include: Brown University, UMass Amherst, Brandeis University, and Central Connecticut State University. SITE Conference
Stephanie Cheney serves on the SITE Program Committee. The Society for Information Technology & Teacher Education is an international conference organized by the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE). SITE is unique as the only organization which has as its sole focus the integration of instructional technologies into teacher education programs. SITE promotes the development and dissemination of theoretical knowledge, conceptual research, and professional practice knowledge through conferences, books, projects, and the Journal of Technology and Teacher Education (JTATE).
